Orris Nirvana

The orris and white leather notes create a soft, powdery floral and woody perfume that feels like a contemporary take on a timeless, slightly vintage, elegance. The Italian Orris Concrete LMR is a rich and powerful floral note with a powdery character, a violet facet and a woody base. Combined with the suede-like white leather it is refined, soft and ethereal moonlight shining through clouds.

The bright opening notes are radiant but understated, they complement the heart, rather than outshine it. The Sicilian green mandarin is handpicked and cold pressed, lending a floral, fruity accent, slightly sweet, slightly zesty. The pink pepper is spicy and aromatic, harmonising the citrusy green mandarin, adding slightly woody, pine facets that reach down to the woody base.

Paul Guerlain built this perfume on patchouli, a scent long emblematic of India, as a tribute to the brand’s inspiration. The Indonesian patchouli in Orris Nirvana is clean and elegant with a woody earthy character, minty and camphoraceous facets on a sweet, mossy bed. Combined with the dry, slightly creamy sandalwood and musk it is a sophisticated, grounding base that feels timeless.

The powdery notes combined with the woody base feel like the intersection of blissful naivety and ancient wisdom, where olfactory modern minimalism meets timeless depth.
