Inspired by the Sanskrit concept of Aikyam, which represents the belief that everything in the world is connected as one, perfumer Nelly Hachem-Ruiz created a harmony of abundance. Akiyam Rose balances the olfactive whirlwind of everyday life, creating a feeling of mindfulness and clarity where flowers, fruits, spices and woods are intricately blended to create an unforgettable sillage that uses a combination of rose and geranium as its heart.

The Turkish Rose Essential, a single estate rose from Isparta in Turkey, is uniquely delicate and powdery, reminiscent of fresh petals, with a touch of leafy green facets. It is bolstered by the Egyptian Geranium Absolute, that offers a bolder spicy floral facet, as well as rich fruitiness and green herbaceous qualities.

The sweeter aspects of raspberry and vanilla counterpoint the spicy geranium and cumin whilst the cypress oil has fresh green, aromatic woodiness with slightly resinous, smoky and medicinal undertones. Finally the ambroxan brings both an expansive luminosity and an intimate, sensuous skin-like quality that unites and balances the whole composition.

Aikyam (ऐक्यम्) is a deeply beautiful and layered Sanskrit word speaking of oneness, unity and harmony, at the most spiritual and soul-connected level. Its spiritual essence is linked to deep love, unity consciousness, transcendence and sacred union.

The inspiration for this perfume is a celebration of abundance, a physical embodiment of the universe from the earth, flora and fauna, the oceans, the presence of people and animals, rising up through the heavens beyond the stars. It was conceived to respect and celebrate all things and foster a sense of connection of self to the universe.

Aikyam Rose feels abundant but also balanced and grounding, promoting a sense of mindfulness. The green notes have a vibrant feeling of mental clarity. The fruity, spicy florals are colourful celebrations, but the ambroxan and woody notes give both a sense of intimacy and expansive connection to the universe. It is very harmonising.

Aikyam Rose is original and distinctive, but it’s very wearable. The citrus top notes, rose essential and green notes make it fresh enough to wear during Spring and Summer and any daytime occasions.
