Perfumer Caroline Dumur was inspired both by the name ‘smitam’ (smile in Sanskrit) and the tuberose flower, central to celebrations in India. Blended with invigorating, bright, warm and positive notes of ginger, medicinal ginseng, a creamy woody sandalwood and tiny dose of green cardamom, Smitam Santal is a transformative olfactive portrait of a smile and a joy to wear. It's hard to say smitam without smiling!

The ginger uplifting Smitam Santal brings a warm, spicy, invigorating character, but also a slightly brown sugar and zesty accord. It pairs with the slightly bitter medicinal qualities of ginseng and cardamom and is grounded by fruity patchouli with vegetal undertones.
The creamy white floral notes of the narcotic tuberose lend an exotic warmth, marrying with the base of creamy, aromatic, woody sandalwood and dry cedar accords. At the heart of the scent a light touch of frankincense and cypriol add a resinous citrus blending with the ginger and as well as lending a slightly smoky, meditative vibe.

This is a delight to wear any time of the day, during any season at any and every occasion. It is warm and spicy, comforting the cooler seasons, but the exotic nature of the ginger and tuberose sit happily in the heat, and the incense and green medicinal and floral notes connect to Spring.
